Hey, I’m Marta¡Hola, soy Marta!

I was born in Barcelona and studied Education, working different jobs along the way. After graduating, I used my savings to travel solo around Europe. That’s where I really learned English, and where I noticed how curious people were about where I came from. They kept asking whether I spoke Catalan or Spanish.

Nací en Barcelona y estudié Educación, trabajando en distintos empleos mientras estudiaba. Al acabar la carrera, con mis ahorros, viajé sola por Europa. Allí aprendí mucho inglés y me di cuenta de lo curiosa que era la gente por saber de dónde venía. Siempre me preguntaban si hablaba catalán o castellano.

Then I moved to Latin America, where I spent 4 years working and traveling whenever I could: Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Guatemala, Colombia… I met so many cultures, people and places.

Después me fui a Latinoamérica, donde pasé 4 años trabajando y viajando siempre que podía: México, Brasil, Argentina, Guatemala, Colombia… Conocí muchas culturas, personas y lugares.

Now I’m back in Barcelona, and I want a job that lets me keep traveling. I’ve always spoken Catalan with my parents and friends. It’s a unique way to communicate, and also a way of loving, thinking and being. I want everyone to know it.

Ahora he vuelto a Barcelona y quiero un trabajo que me permita seguir viajando. Siempre he hablado catalán con mis padres y mis amigos. Es una forma única de comunicarse, y también una forma de querer, pensar y ser. Quiero que todo el mundo lo conozca.

My teaching experienceMi experiencia como profesora

While I was studying, I gave Catalan classes to children. Today I also teach adults, through different online platforms. So far, I’ve taught more than 100 classes.

Mientras estudiaba, daba clases de catalán a niños y niñas. Hoy también doy clases a adultos, a través de diferentes plataformas. Hasta ahora he dado más de 100 clases.
